2014 Cut-Ups PROJECT             Sundresses and Shorts Mission

February is here and it is time to kick off our 2014 Sundress & Shorts Mission. This has been a great mission for our Church that gives glory to our Lord.
Beth Norman has contacted her friend's daughter, Ashleigh Nye, who is going on her third mission trip to an orphanage in the Congo. Ashleigh graduated from Tri-Valley High School in 2003.
She was thrilled to hear of our sundress & shorts mission and, upon our offer, would love to take these articles of clothing with her on her trip there in July 2014.

Cut-Ups 2nd Year Sewing Project

Two Wednesdays a month we will be meeting to make pillows for Genesis Hospital to give to patients who have had lung surgery.  Here are a few that are completed and the members who helped. In 2013 they delivered 179 pillows to Genesis Hospital. Good job girls!

THE CUT UPS
After posting the TR article spotlighting the Cut-Ups ministry of making pillows for Genesis Hospital on the Frazeysburg UMC web site, I received this post from the wife of a Pastor in Iowa. Imagine!
“My husband is a UMC pastor of 2 churches in northwest Iowa. I read the article about your service project!! Would it be possible to purchase the pattern(s) for your pillows? I believe groups at our churches might enjoy adding this to the other sewing they do.”
I was able to reach her on email to get her address and send her copies of the patterns. Of course, there is no charge. It is such a blessing to see our Church website is reaching so far. God is Good. Submitted by Beth Norman
